Subify was built around a simple problem: watching and understanding videos in languages that are not easy for us.

From a personal problem to building something bigger
The story of Subify started when I was learning Spanish and watching a lot of YouTube educational videos to study and prepare for the university entrance exam. I had a big problem: my language was not yet good enough to follow all the videos easily. Many videos had no Persian translation, some subtitles were hard to understand, and finding a good dub was almost impossible. To understand each sentence, I had to pause the video, copy the text, go to a translator or an AI tool, and then go back to the video. A few minutes later, the same thing happened again!
What made me take this more seriously was Hasti. Hasti had the same problem, and when I saw that this challenge was not only mine, I started to wonder why there should not be an easier way to understand videos. That is how I decided to build Subify. To be honest, back then I did not think this idea would grow this big. My goal was to have a tool that makes translating and understanding videos easier, without having to go to several different tools for every sentence.
I am really thankful to Hasti, because our shared experience played an important role in making this idea real. Maybe one day I would have thought of building a tool like this without it, but I want to always remember how this path began. But the story did not end here. The more I worked on Subify, the more I realized that the problem is not only video translation.
Someone learning a language may need a grammar explanation. Another person is looking for the meaning of a word, someone wants to talk with an AI and ask questions, and someone else prefers to hear the video in their own language instead of reading the subtitles. At the same time, AI offers us new possibilities every day, and I felt it would be a waste to limit Subify to a simple tool for translating subtitles.
So, little by little, I started to expand the first idea and build new features. What had started as a personal need became a product that now brings together different parts of language learning, translation and interaction with AI. Subify is no longer just for video translation. In its web app you can chat with AI, learn grammar, find the meaning and translation of words, use language learning tools, and follow video content more easily with the help of AI translation and dubbing.
When I think about this, I see that many people around the world have access to content they cannot make good use of, only because it is in another language. One person may want to learn something from a training course, another may be learning a new language, and someone else may simply want to understand their favorite movie or video without any hassle. I want Subify to help close this gap.
My current focus is on improving the experience for Persian-speaking users, but my vision goes much further. I want Subify to become an international product that people speaking different languages can use, and have access to for learning, translation and understanding global content. For me, Subify is not just a software project. It is a product that started from a real problem, and by developing and improving it I want to help more people.
At first, I only wanted to learn languages more easily myself, but now my goal is that more people can use content that used to be hard or even inaccessible for them because of language. And I think this is exactly what makes this path worth continuing. I am Mobin, and I built Subify with the idea that language should not be a barrier to learning. This is only the beginning of the road.
